Causes of Shoulder Pain
- Gallbladder/ Heart/ Liver
- Heart
- Rotator Cuff Injuries
- Trauma
- Neck (cervical spine)
- Frozen Shoulder
- Poor Posture
- Repetitive Strain Injuries
The shoulder is the most movable joint in the body with an amazing range of motion. However, this makes it a relatively unstable joint and therefore it can be easily prone to injury. It is also the most frequently dislocated major joint in the body.
Shoulder pain can be felt locally or can be referred to other areas such as the arm or mid-back.
How Chiropractors can help Shoulder Pain
Chiropractors are trained to assess the area of pain but also to establish whether the structures adjacent to the shoulder such as the neck or thoracic areas may be contributing to the pain, or even causing it.
This enables us to offer such a patient the correct treatment and recovery plan so that they can get back to normal pain-free function and activity.
Client Reviews
Chris provides excellent and very professional chiropractic care. I started going to see Chris when I had a trapped nerve in my shoulder (in addition to a few prolonged back issues which I had chosen to ignore), but after a session or two the range of motion in my shoulder had returned and the pain had greatly subsided. I now go to see Chris on a regular basis, resulting in several of my prolonged back issues disappearing.James Mcconnell
I've been having treatment with chris for a little while now and I just cannot praise him enough! He’s done a fantastic job on my back, and my neck and my shoulders. I am in so much less pain than I've ever been. Pretty much every joint in my body was hurting when I walked through his door a few months ago, I was in a right old mess. I had a very warm and very professional welcome and I look forward to all of my appointments. Chris is a true gentleman, not only does he fix my back (which really helps with my mental health) (not entirely sure how it works, but it does!!!!) But he also listens in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. I feel very comfortable telling him about my ups and downs in life and I feel we have a very good client-professional relationship. I always feel so much better after a visit to his practice. Emotionally as well as physically. I couldn't recommend his services anymore. He explains everything to me well and in a way that I can really understand. If you're looking for a good, reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable chiropractor; look no further! 10/10 from me! I'm trying really hard to think of a bad thing to say here, just to balance things out bit but it's a struggle. Literally the only thing that comes to mind is he didn’t have the right charger to charge my phone when my battery was dying one time! LolJoanna Lovelock
I truly could not live without my monthly trips to this fantastic Chiropractic Clinic, my occupation causes me to have a great deal of pain in my neck, shoulder, and lower back and within a matter of weeks Chris had made such a huge difference to both the pain and my posture! 10 out of 10!Bethany Hardstaff
I was in extreme pain with my left shoulder, arm and also lower back, had tried physio and other treatments but to no avail, after having some sessions with Chris I could see the improvement and pain going away and movement back again, Chris is really friendly and easy going and extremely accommodating.Janzib Alyas
I have been putting off for years actually getting my back and shoulder pain sorted out and finally decided to get it looked at during lockdown. Honestly, I cannot recommend Chris Ross enough - so professional and honest. He gives you all the tools you need to make it better. The sessions are straight forward and do the job. He will also give you stretches and exercises to do at home that will help with any pain you may have. I have always had massages and sports massages, thinking that will fix it but it never does but seeing a chiropractor really has made changes in my body and even if I do get some discomfort, I now have the exercises and knowledge to fix them. I would recommend seeing him quite regularly at first and then make sure to see him ever few weeks after that just to keep things in order. Thanks, Dr Ross for all your work and support, my body is most definitely feeling the difference!Naomi Underwood
Highly recommend seeing Chris if you have back/shoulder/neck issues, I’m a 54 year old male who’s worked in an office for 30+ years so had all 3. He takes time to fully assess the underlying cause(s) and treats with a combination of massage and targeted stretches/exercises. Be realistic though, if you’ve had a long standing problem for several years it won’t be cured in 2 sessions but if you take his advice and do your stretches/exercises you will be able to manage any difficulties effectively as I have for the past 2 years+.John Sparks
