About Knee Pain
Knee pain can be pinpoint or sharp in nature or sometimes more of an irritating diffuse dull ache. Either way, it points to something not working correctly.
The knee is a complex joint which relies heavily on its surrounding muscles and ligaments for stability and strength and is commonly affected by osteoarthritis. Cartilage in the knee may degenerate after sustained stress (such as stress from mis-aligned joints or injuries) resulting in the bones of the knee rubbing against each other and subsequently resulting in osteoarthritis.
How Chiropractors help Knee Pain
As it is a load-bearing joint, it is vital to ensure that you are walking correctly, and that the feet, ankles, hips, pelvis, and lower back are not the cause of the knee pain.
To this end, a thorough consultation and examination with a Chiropractor is essential to ascertain a correct diagnosis. This will involve looking “above and below” so that we can understand how the feet or hips, pelvis and lower back are performing. Only then can we establish the correct treatment plan be given.so a tailored treatment plan can be formulated.
Client Reviews
I found Chris to be a highly knowledgeable and helpful chiropractor. The Covid protection throughout the clinic was of a high standard. I had an ankle and hip problem which had significantly progressed in pain over the past few months however with the treatment program and the added input and advice from the two resident podiatrists Chris has got me back to my best and able to begin running with no pain. Recommended. Thanks ChrisMo Williams
